The TacoSetter Bypass – known in the industry as "TacoSetter" – is the classic among balancing valves. The popular and reliable original for static hydraulic balancing displays the flow rate on a scale directly in a bypass measuring body or in the fitting. The TacoSetter Bypass has been part of Taconova's range since 1985. While maintaining its proven properties, it has been continuously developed. Description: • Balancing and shut-off valve • Hydraulic balancing, flow measurement, and control at the consumer or in a subsystem. Advantages: • Direct visual flow control (sight glass) • Required water quantities are set precisely, quickly, conveniently, and continuously • No expensive aids (measuring devices, diagrams, tables) necessary • No additional shut-off valve necessary • Can be replaced or maintained at full system pressure • Low pressure loss • Can be readjusted at any time. Functionality: • Bypass with measuring and display part (sight glass with scale in l/min) guided parallel to the main flow, automatically shutting off • Reading mark is the lower edge of the float body • Displacement principle of an impact body guided in a measuring tube with counter spring • Reading mark is the lower edge of the float body • Measuring body is located in a bypass to the main flow and is therefore not constantly flowed through; the measuring body is activated as needed by opening self-closing shut-off valves by pressing and holding the bracket; switching the measuring body on or off has no effect on the main flow.
