Description
Used heavy-duty precision change pallet for industrial machine and fixture construction.
The change pallet was originally used as a machine interface and carrier for the also available large RAKO 12-jaw precision clamping system with approx. Ø 1,600 mm. According to available information, the clamping system mounted on it was used for workpiece clamping during the machining of brass cages for ball/roller bearings.
Therefore, this is not a simple steel clamping plate, but a precision pallet specifically designed for a change pallet/rotary table system, with defined positioning, indexing, and pneumatic transfer.
The pallet has a machined clamping surface with a customer-specific hole pattern.
There are various threaded, fastening, and locating holes. The original drawing documents, among other things, threads M12, M20, and M30 as well as locating/indexing holes Ø20 H6.
On the underside, there are two mounted and aligned index rings for fixing the pallet. The clamping grooves are equipped with hardened strips as running surfaces for the rollers or as contact surfaces for pallet clamping.
A pneumatic feedthrough with one line is integrated. The coupling point is located on the underside of the pallet; according to manufacturer documentation, the outlet is within Ø500 mm in the clamping surface.
The pallet can still be used as a change pallet with a suitable interface.
Due to its heavy-duty and precise design, it can also be used as a heavy machine, fixture, or clamping base in special machine construction.
Other FIBRO change pallets from the same former system inventory are available. These have partially different customer-specific hole patterns.
