Description
Used stationary 12-jaw precision clamping system for workpiece clamping on a fixed machine table.
According to available information, the clamping system was used for machining brass cages for ball/roller bearings. It is not a conventional lathe chuck for a lathe spindle, but a workpiece clamping device mounted firmly on the machine table.
The design features 12 base jaws arranged radially and evenly around the circumference. This allows the clamping force to be distributed across numerous contact points. The clamping principle is particularly interesting for large ring-shaped as well as sensitive or deformation-prone workpieces, where the most uniform workpiece clamping possible is required.
