Description
Used KOMET KomTronic U-axis system for additional NC-controlled radial tool movement on a machining center.
The system enables defined radial adjustment of the cutting tool during machining, thereby expanding the machining capabilities of a conventional machine spindle.
Such U-axis systems are used, among other things, for machining bores, internal and external contours, grooves, face surfaces, chamfers, and other geometric contours.
The existing system features an HSK-100 interface for machine-side tool holding.
On the front side is the radially movable tool slide with mounted tool holder or boring tool.
